G.L. 9mm 115gr steel case
Solid, cheap 9mm for proficiency practice. Lotsa luck finding less expensive rounds. I shoot steel case these days (Glock19 w/ Gucci workings) and have gone through at least 3,000 rounds each of both Tula and G.L.. They're roughly equal rounds, but Russian ammo is restricted now, so prices are rising. The G.L. has a lacquer finish on the annealed steel casing, whereas Tula is bare. I've gotten a few light primer strikes with G.L., about 1-2 per 1,000. Didn't get that with Tula. No big deal. It's not duty ammo. I just toss the cartridge back in the mag, and it fires next time. Yes, you'll want to clean your gun routinely, but it's not much worse than pricey brass. Soot is more of a problem with rifle calibers, and if you've got a finicky weapon, your firearm future is going to suck.
