Failure To Feed/Fire (magazine loaded)
Bought 2 packs of this when it was in stock. I went to the range and loaded up 2 magazines of factory ammunition and did some shooting. I then loaded up a magazine with this, inserted the magazine and released the bolt. The round was picked up and chambered. I squeezed the trigger and it fired. The bolt cycled and picked up the next round. I squeezed the trigger, heard the hammer drop, but no bang. I waited a few moments (in case of delayed fire) and then attempted to manually cycle the bolt. I found this to be really difficult. I continued to attempt to use my AR-15 as intended, only having about 5 actually fire (only 2 were simultaneous). Each failure to fire was very difficult to eject the round via the charging handle. A few instances, I had to secure the buttstock against a solid surface while pushing the charging handle (in a safe manner). I inspected each round's primer and noticed that non of them were struck (most didn't even have the floating pin dimple). With my empty magazine inserted, I then manually fed each round into the chamber through the ejection port and released the bolt. I only had ~5 out of ~70 that I had to rechamber in this manner. I didn't have this issue with my factory ammunition, and this is my third range session with this rifle from the factory, only shooting ~75-100 rnds in the previous sessions (relatively clean rifle). My rifle (DDM4 PDW) doesn't seem to like to chamber these rounds from a mag. The forward assist didn't help the situation. I did also notice that the seat (I think?) on the brass, where the bullet meets the case, was a bit rough. IDK if this has anything to do with the issues I was having. This round might be fine in other rifles, but doesn't work as intended in my DDM4 PDW AR-15 platform.
